Hannah Heck
Hannah is an attorney by training and an independent policy consultant by practice. She has previously chaired the board of the Georgia Charter School Association and the Georgia Charter Action Fund and was a member of the Innovation Fund Foundation and the Georgia Board of Community Health. Hannah was also the Policy Director for Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. Originally from Joliet, Illinois, Hannah went to Harvard for her undergraduate degree. She attended Emory for law school. In her free time, Hannah enjoys writing and reading fiction and non-fiction, cooking, travel and hiking…. learning to love silence and stillness more than she has before! When asked what makes Westside special, Hannah said, “Children are known at Westside. I love that it brings together communities in our city who might not otherwise interact.” Hannah has served on the WACS board since the founding of the school in 2013.
