Chris Tuten is Associate General Counsel for the Retail Consumer Products business at Georgia-Pacific. He went to Undergrad at the College of Charleston and law school at the University of South Carolina. Chris grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He is a big sports fan, especially baseball and college football, and enjoys keeping up with all things related to the Braves and Gamecocks. He is also very involved with his church, Christ Church Presbyterian, where he serves as one of the elders. When asked what makes Westside special, he said “There is a lot about Westside that is special to me, but what stands out the most is the culture and community. We have had children at Westside since 2015. They have received a great, well-rounded education and have been surrounded by teachers and staff that have poured into them and taken an interest in them personally, not just as students. As parents, we have also really enjoyed the community among the teachers, staff, and other parents. It feels as much like a family as it does a school. It is a specific place.” Christ has practiced law since 2008 in a corporate/commercial practice and has gained significant experience with matters related to that in that time. He has been on the board since June of 2022.
