WESTSIDE STAFF SPOTLIGHT

DANA COOPER – DEAN OF ACADEMICS

What drew you to Westside?
One aspect that drew me to Westside is its diversity. Diverse school are difficult to find in the Atlanta area. It is crucial for students and staff to learn from others who are not like them. Westside takes pride in cultivating well-rounded students. I love this concept! Another aspect that drew me to Westside is its size. It is exciting to be a part of a small school where staff know each and every student in order to provide the best quality education.

What has been your favorite part of Westside so far?
There are so many! I have enjoyed getting to know the staff, students, and families at Westside. They are what makes Westside a special place.

What hopes and dreams do you have for Westside students?
I have many hopes and dreams for our Westsiders, but the biggest one is for success! The dream is that all students will receive a quality education which will provide additional opportunities, and for students to become well rounded adults who are able to interact with people of all walks of life.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy taking photographs, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
