End of Year Trips

Experiential learning is essential to growing informed, empathetic, and well-rounded learners. These trips offer our students opportunities to learn more about our nation and state’s history, explore their passions, and build relationships with their peers outside of the classroom.

5th Grade Trip – Savannah, GA
Highlights of the trip include visits to the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, Fort Jackson, Tybee Island Pier, First African Baptist Church, and historical Savannah River Street. Students will also participate in a beach ecology lab, take a historic trolley car tour, and a dolphin boat ride.

$99 Deposit due on September 16th

6th Grade Trip – Outdoor Adventures
Students and leaders will have the opportunity to spend two days and one night at Camp where they will experience outdoor adventures and leadership building skills.
Total Cost: $185
$50 Deposit due on October 1st

7th Grade Trip – College Tours
Research shows that early exposure to colleges can increase a student’s likelihood to pursue a college path. Westside students will visit four different Georgia college campuses during their 7th grade year. These trips will be on school days, without overnight stays.
Total Cost: $125

8th Grade Trip – Disney Youth Program
Energy and Waves Physics Lab | Disney Youth Education Series
Embark on an interactive adventure where you’ll explore the physics of light and sound through select attractions at Magic Kingdom park and examine the wide range of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Total Cost: $650
$150 Deposit due on November 1st
