Third through Fourth Grade
Third grade is a major transition year as students truly begin to apply what they are learning in each class. Students will share their time between two teachers. This is the first year when students will take the Georgia Milestones (GMAS) in Reading and Mathematics. Fourth grade builds upon the lessons learned in third grade, with students digging deeper into reading for information, writing in all content areas, and deepening their problem solving skills. Students continue to share their time between two teachers – one for Language Arts/Social Studies, and the other for Mathematics/Science. Fourth graders will again take the Georgia Milestones in Reading and Mathematics.
